Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver attentive, efficient care to emergency department patients, including those boarded from med/surg, stepdown, or ICU units
- Serve flexibly within the float pool, potentially covering various acute care units based on unit needs
- Utilize strong clinical judgment and critical thinking to respond to rapid changes in patient conditions
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care and smooth transitions
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current RN license with a minimum of 2 years experience in a similarly sized Level 1 trauma hospital emergency department
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, TNCC
- Proven ability to manage multiple complex cases simultaneously in a very busy ED environment
- Complete and up-to-date resume demonstrating consistent employment with no gaps
- Submission of an ED skills checklist and solid emergency department references
- Availability to provide all necessary demographic data including a current badge photo
