This highly respected teaching hospital features a 61-bed Emergency Department with Level 1 Trauma designation, exposing you to high-acuity cases and a fast-paced team environment. Youll collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and support staff, gaining invaluable experience and insight into a range of clinical protocols and leadership perspectives. Engage with a diverse patient population and work alongside a multi-specialty group, positioning yourself for robust professional growth and rsum expansion.

Schedule/Hours:

• 12-hour shifts (7A7P or 7P7A)
• Rotating weekends: 5-6 weekend shifts within each 6-week cycle
• No on-call shifts
• Holiday rotation: one shift each major holiday

Required Qualifications:

• Active RN license
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department RN experience
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC required
• Must pass EKG competency exam (Basic Cardiac Rhythm)
• National certification in emergency nursing preferred
• Experience with trauma and management of high-acuity cases
• Proficient with drips: Heparin, Insulin, Cardene, Dopamine, Epinephrine, Fentanyl, Propofol, Levophed

Core Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional care to a diverse acuity mix, including trauma, cardiac, stroke, and behavioral health patients
• Manage patient flow and work collaboratively with CNAs, charge nurses, and ancillary staff
• Utilize EPIC EMR and advanced monitoring equipment
• Participate in departmental teamwork, ensuring patient safety and continuity of care
