An experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Emergency Room care is sought for a contract position in Lowell, MA. This role involves providing critical patient care in a busy emergency department with a fast-paced setting that handles a diverse patient population, including pediatric cases. Candidates will be expected to perform triage, patient assessments, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure efficient and effective treatment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive ER nursing care to adult and pediatric patients
• Perform accurate patient assessments and prioritize care based on acuity
• Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, and other healthcare professionals
• Utilize electronic medical records (preferably Meditech Expanse 6) for documentation
• Maintain certifications and stay current with emergency care protocols
• Provide care within a 41-bed facility including an Accelerated Care Unit and fast track area
• Manage patients efficiently during a typical ED census of 75

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active RN licensure with at least 2 years of ER nursing experience
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Pediatric experience required and comfort with pediatric patient ratios
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC (all must be provided at submission)
• Two recent references from specialty charge or nurse managers
• Familiarity with Meditech Expanse 6 is a plus but not required

Schedule:

• Night shift: 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.
