Provide expert nursing care in a fast-paced emergency room setting where critical thinking and quick decision-making are essential. This travel position offers an opportunity to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated care that meets established standards and improves patient outcomes. You will also oversee and guide nursing staff, ensuring smooth operations and quality patient care throughout your shift.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver nursing care to assigned patients consistent with the nursing process and established protocols
- Supervise and direct nursing personnel of varying experience levels, fostering teamwork and efficiency
- Coordinate with other healthcare disciplines to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Utilize professional judgment and critical thinking in clinical decision-making
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to departmental policies, including proper clock-in procedures for Float Pool assignments
- Educate staff and assist with non-productive hours related to the Float Pool nursing department
Desired Qualifications:
- Current and valid RN license with ER nursing experience
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Proven leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic emergency room environment
- Effective communication and organizational skills
