Job Description
A travel Registered Nurse with Emergency Room experience is needed in Los Angeles, CA to support acute care services at a busy trauma-designated emergency department. This role involves providing triage, treatment, and support for trauma and emergency patients of all ages in a fast-paced environment. Moderate Sedation Training and current NCI certification are required to ensure patient safety and compliance with clinical protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive emergency nursing care, including triage and treatment of trauma patients
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to stabilize and support patients throughout their emergency care journey
- Adhere to protocols for moderate sedation and maintain compliance with NCI standards
- Provide patient education and emotional support to patients and families
- Document treatments, procedures, and patient responses accurately and timely
Desired Qualifications:
- Active RN license with Emergency Room experience
- NCI (National Certification for Injury) certification
- Moderate Sedation Training completion
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-acuity trauma center
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and patient care skills
