As a traveling RN in the ER, you will deliver specialized, coordinated nursing care for assigned patients, operating under established standards and employing the nursing process. In this role, youll actively supervise and provide direction for various levels of nursing staff while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams. Youll utilize your critical thinking abilities and professional judgment to ensure optimal patient outcomes, while also contributing to staff development and high-quality patient care. Assigned to the float pool, your flexibility and adaptability will be highly valued as you integrate seamlessly with different teams within the hospital setting.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Active RN license in good standing
- Minimum of one year recent experience in an ER setting
- Proficiency in emergency care best practices and protocols
- Strong critical thinking and effective communication skills
- Experience supervising and guiding patient care teams highly preferred
- BLS, ACLS (and other certifications as required)
Responsibilities:
- Provide hands-on patient care and manage a dynamic patient caseload
- Oversee and support nursing staff, maintaining a positive, collaborative work environment
- Communicate and coordinate with interdisciplinary team members
- Float to various units, ensuring consistent, high-quality care across departments
- Employ independent judgment and professional discretion daily
