Responsibilities include delivering exceptional, coordinated nursing care to patients or assigned groups utilizing best practices and the full nursing process. This position involves supervising nursing support staff, coordinating care with allied health professionals, and demonstrating sound judgment and critical thinking skills in a fast-paced Emergency Room environment. You'll also take part in education and training initiatives, helping ensure the highest level of readiness among Float Pool nurses. Adaptability and independence are essential, as Float Pool nurses provide support across units and are expected to adjust seamlessly to new settings.
Qualifications:
- Active RN license in good standing
- Minimum 1 year of recent ER nursing experience preferred
- Valid BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Experience supervising or mentoring nursing staff is an asset
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
Responsibilities:
- Deliver safe, high-quality care to ER patients
- Direct, supervise, and assist assigned nursing staff
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams
- Ensure accurate documentation and charting
- Participate in ongoing training and educational sessions
- Adapt quickly to varied clinical environments, especially within the Float Pool
