An experienced Registered Nurse (RN) with Emergency Room expertise is sought for a focused 13-week engagement in Lees Summit, MO. This role requires strong clinical skills, particularly in emergency nursing, and readiness to work a night shift schedule. Candidates must be prepared for immediate orientation and continuous high-quality patient care within an intensive hospital environment.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Active MO RN license or Compact nursing license.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in an Emergency Room setting.
- Proven proficiency with Cerner electronic health recordsno exceptions.
- Prior travel nursing experience is mandatory.
- Current certifications required at start: American Heart Association (ACLS, BLS, NIH, PALS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC).
- CPI certification will be required beginning January 2026.
- Ability to pass an EKG competency exam (minimum 80%, including lethal rhythm identification) on orientation day.
- Commitment to the night shift: three 12-hour shifts (18:4507:15) including every other weekend.
- No block scheduling available.
- Locals welcomed and offered the same terms as travelers.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver expert nursing care in a high-acuity emergency department setting.
- Accurately document patient care and interventions using Cerner software.
- Maintain compliance with all required clinical certifications and safety protocols.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
- Uphold hospital standards for quality and patient safety.
