Provide critical care in a fast-paced emergency room environment at a major medical center in Lawrence, Kansas. This contracted role requires a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) skilled in emergency nursing to deliver top-quality patient care during overnight shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive emergency nursing care during a 19000700 shift, covering 36 hours per week.
- Respond swiftly and effectively to a range of medical emergencies and trauma cases.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records adhering to facility protocols.
- Occasionally cover weekend and holiday shifts; on-call one shift per week.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current Kansas RN license or compact license.
- Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC.
- Minimum 3 years of emergency room nursing experience; 5+ years preferred.
- Experience working in large healthcare facilities is highly advantageous.
- Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to prioritize care in an emergency setting.
Schedule:
- Overnight shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
- 36 hours per week, including some weekend, holiday, and one on-call shift weekly.
- Orientation is held on Mondays.
