Schedule:
- Nights, 7 PM 7 AM
- Every other weekend required
- Flexible, with potential for on-call (voluntary) and floating as needed
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program
- Current New Mexico RN license or Compact state license
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS (or ENPC) certifications from AHA required
- TNCC or ATCN required
- CPI or equivalent preferred
- Clear, effective communication skills suited for a diverse patient population
- Ability to remain composed under pressure and adapt to rapidly changing situations
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and implement patient care in the Emergency Department, ensuring safety, efficiency, and adherence to established standards
- Demonstrate compassionate, age-appropriate nursing care to a range of patient populations
- Maintain respectful, effective working relationships with staff, physicians, patients, and families
- Respond efficiently in crisis situations, maintaining professionalism during emergencies
- Assist as needed in different departments, especially during periods of low census
