Step into a vital role supporting patients in a fast-paced, dynamic Emergency Room environment. As a Registered Nurse in the ER, you'll play a key part in delivering high-quality and compassionate care to individuals experiencing acute health concerns and medical emergencies. Your ability to remain composed under pressure, prioritize patient needs, and respond efficiently to rapidly changing situations will be essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care and support to patients in the emergency department
- Assess patient conditions, triage according to urgency, and initiate appropriate interventions
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians and other healthcare professionals
- Administer medications, perform wound care, and manage IV lines as needed
- Monitor vital signs, quickly identify changes in patient status, and respond appropriately
- Document all patient interactions, assessments, and interventions accurately in electronic health records
- Educate patients and family members about procedures, medications, and ongoing care
- Adhere to established protocols, safety guidelines, and infection control standards
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active, unencumbered RN license
- Previous experience in an ER or acute care setting
- BLS and ACLS certifications (PALS a plus)
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to thrive in a high-volume, high-stress environment
