A Registered Nurse position is available to deliver comprehensive nursing care in a dynamic Emergency Department setting located in Ithaca, NY. This contract opportunity requires the ability to work either mid or night shifts and offers the chance to engage in patient- and family-centered care within a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care within the full scope of practice, including assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patients physical, psychological, emotional, educational, and spiritual needs.
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary team members including providers, techs, case managers, social workers, and crisis evaluators.
• Serve as a Charge Nurse when assigned, coordinating patient flow through the department by managing staff assignments, receiving EMS reports, and facilitating communication with triage and other hospital units.
• Utilize strong professional communication, conflict resolution, time management, and organizational skills to ensure efficient and compassionate patient care delivery.

Desired Qualifications:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
• Experience in emergency nursing preferred, with ability to adapt to a high-acuity environment.
• Competency in coordinating multi-disciplinary care and managing emergency patient throughput.
• Strong interpersonal skills to engage with patients, families, and healthcare team members effectively.
