Provide critical care and support to patients in an emergency department setting during night hours at a busy hospital in Indianapolis. This position involves close collaboration with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The role requires direct nursing care in accordance with established standards, precise monitoring of patient conditions, and effective communication with physicians and nursing staff. You will play a central role in coordinating patient care and discharge planning to facilitate seamless transitions and continuity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct nursing care based on established policies, procedures, and clinical protocols.
• Implement and continuously monitor individualized patient care plans.
• Accurately monitor, document, and communicate patient status and changes.
• Coordinate with all healthcare disciplines to ensure cohesive and comprehensive patient care.
• Follow and execute physician and nursing orders diligently.
• Assess and plan for patients discharge needs in collaboration with healthcare team members.

Qualifications:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of Indiana.
• Experience in an emergency room setting preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong critical thinking and assessment skills.
• Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
• Night shift availability (1900-0730) with an every other weekend schedule.
