This assignment in a 44-bed, Level II trauma emergency department is perfect for seasoned clinicians eager to broaden their perspective. Qualifications/Desired Background:
- Active RN license
- Minimum 2 years clinical RN experience, with at least 2 years in emergency nursing
- Prior travel experience preferred (1-2 assignments) unless highly experienced in a fast-paced ED
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS
- Preferred: TNCC
- Experience with trauma, stroke, and elderly patient care highly valued
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive emergency care for a range of patient diagnoses (STEMI, trauma, syncopal episodes, etc.)
- Initiate IVs, perform venipuncture, and accurately document in Epic
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including RT for ventilator management and transport techs for patient movement
- Maintain professional attire and uphold high standards of infection prevention
