Qualifications and Experience:
- Active, unrestricted RN license in Georgia
- Minimum of one year of recent emergency department experience preferred
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required; PALS and TNCC certifications a plus
- Sound clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Knowledgeable in the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act
- Familiarity with the American Nurses Association Scope of Practice and Code of Ethics
- Strong commitment to upholding patient advocacy, confidentiality, and system policies
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for diverse populations in a fast-paced ER setting
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse managers, and allied health professionals for optimal patient outcomes
- Respond promptly to emergent situations, providing expert interventions and stabilization
- Accurately document care, interventions, and response in the health record
- Advocate for patients and their families, ensuring their needs are communicated and addressed
- Participate in shared governance, ongoing education, and performance improvement initiatives
