An opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Nurse skilled in Emergency Room care to contribute to a dynamic and high-acuity environment. This contract role is based in Grovetown, GA, supporting a large emergency department known for its patient volume and diversity, ranging from adolescents to geriatrics.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience; first-time ER nurses will not be considered.
- Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke, and PALS are required.
- Experience working in a non-trauma but very busy and high-acuity emergency setting.
- Familiarity with Stroke and STEMI protocols.
- Proficiency with Epic Electronic Health Records and Pyxis medication dispensing system.
- Ability to function effectively with a nurse-to-patient ratio of approximately 1:4.
- Strong clinical judgment and prioritization skills to manage an average patient census of 165-175 daily.
Schedule & Work Hours:
- Day shift: Three 12-hour shifts per week, 07:00 AM to 07:00 PM.
- Weekend rotation: Every other weekend.
- Occasional holiday work expected, with clear guidelines in place.
- Floating duties are rare.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive emergency nursing care in a fast-paced, large ED setting.
- Perform assessments, interventions, and collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams.
- Maintain compliance with all clinical and facility protocols and guidelines.
- Participate in orientation and clinical screening processes to ensure readiness for this environment.
