Schedule/Hours:
- 12-hour shifts: 7A7P or 7P7A
- Rotating weekends (56 weekend shifts in a 6-week block)
- Holiday shift rotation required
- No on-call requirements
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department RN experience
- Active nursing license with BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC certifications
- Successful completion of an EKG competency exam (BCR/BCE competency)
- Experience with critical drips (Heparin, Insulin, Cardene, Dopamine, Epinephrine, Fentanyl, Propofol, Levophed)
- National certification in emergency nursing preferred, but not required
Responsibilities:
- Provide expert care for a spectrum of emergency cases (chest pain, strokes, trauma, mental health)
- Manage patient ratios of approximately 1:4
- Collaborate with a full support team: CNA, charge nurse, phlebotomy, 24/7 hospitalist, and intensivist coverage
- Use leading technology (EMR: EPIC, Alaris pumps, Philips monitoring)
- Participate in a team-oriented, supportive unit culture
