Job Description

Schedule/Hours:

  • Contract opportunity with variable shifts available

Qualifications:

  • Active RN license in Georgia
  • Current BLS and ACLS certification required
  • Basic Cardiac Rhythm (BCR) skills required
  • PALS and TNCC certifications preferred but not mandatory
  • Minimum two years experience as an Emergency Department RN
  • Proficiency in managing IV drips including Heparin, Insulin, Cardene, Dopamine, Epinephrine, Fentanyl, Propofol, and Levophed
  • Comfortable with phlebotomy, reading cardiac strips, and using EMR (EPIC)
  • Strong teamwork, adaptability, and communication skills
  • Open to first-time travelers

Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct, comprehensive care to ED patients with conditions such as chest pain, stroke, diabetes, abdominal pain, trauma, and mental health crises
  • Maintain patient ratios of 1:3-4, ensuring attentive and safe care
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, respiratory therapists, and intensivists available 24/7
  • Accurately monitor vital signs, administer medications, perform cardiac telemetry, and document in EPIC EMR
  • Float within the ED as needed; occasional float to nearby facility
  • Participate in unit-specific training and maintain high standards of safety and compliance
