Exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse with Emergency Department experience to provide critical care in a dynamic travel assignment. This role is based in Gordon, GA, supporting a busy Emergency Department with 22 beds and a surge capacity. The facility is a 140-licensed bed hospital featuring a Chest Pain Center and Remote Stroke Center designation, providing comprehensive acute care without a trauma designation or teaching hospital status.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct patient care with a focus on common emergency diagnoses such as Chest Pain, Strokes, Diabetes, Abdominal Pain, Motor Vehicle Collisions, Hypertension, and Mental Health concerns.
• Manage multiple patient care areas with typical nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:3-4, providing efficient and accurate clinical judgment.
• Administer and manage IV drips including Heparin, Insulin, Cardene, Dopamine, Epinephrine, Fentanyl, Propofol, and Levophed.
• Participate in unit-specific duties including phlebotomy and telemetry monitoring interpretation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including respiratory therapists, hospitalists, intensivists, and rapid response teams.
• Utilize EPIC for electronic medical record documentation and support use of a variety of clinical equipment such as Alaris IV pumps, Phillip monitors, and bladder scanners.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Active Georgia RN License required.
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience preferred; first-time travelers considered.
• Current BLS, Basic Cardiac Rhythm (BCR), and ACLS certifications required.
• Trauma-related certifications (TNCC, PALS) and emergency nursing certification preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong skills in drip management and critical care assessments are essential.

Schedule & Work Environment:

• 12-hour shifts (7 a.m.7 p.m. or 7 p.m.7 a.m.) on a rotating 6-week schedule.
• Weekend rotations with 5-6 weekend shifts per 12-shift cycle.
• Holiday shifts required for major holidays.
• No on-call responsibilities.
