As a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and implementing patient-centered care, responding to emergencies, and upholding clinical standards.

Schedule:

• Nights, 7:00 PM 7:00 AM
• Rotating weekends (up to 2 per 4-week schedule)
• Floating may be required based on census and acuity

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program
• Current New Mexico RN license or Compact state license
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS (or ENPC) certifications from the American Heart Association
• TNCC or ATCN certification
• CPI or equivalent preferred
• Recent clinical experience within emergency/acute care setting
• Strong communication skills appropriate to developmental age of patients
• Up-to-date knowledge and skills related to the patient populations served

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate, implement, and evaluate patient care in accordance with established standards and patient rights
• Respond confidently to crisis situations, emergencies, and rapidly changing priorities
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Demonstrate respect, professionalism, and sensitivity toward patients, families, and colleagues
• Perform physical aspects of patient care including positioning, transferring, and utilizing essential equipment or supplies

Work Environment:

• Exposure to infectious diseases and x-rays; complies with bloodborne pathogen protocols
• Requires prolonged standing, heavy physical effort, and the ability to respond to emergency situations promptly
• Clean, smoke-free, and well-ventilated work areas
