Advance your nursing career in a dynamic emergency room setting, providing high-quality, compassionate care to a diverse patient population. As a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and implementing patient-centered care, responding to emergencies, and upholding clinical standards.
Schedule:
- Nights, 7:00 PM 7:00 AM
- Rotating weekends (up to 2 per 4-week schedule)
- Floating may be required based on census and acuity
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program
- Current New Mexico RN license or Compact state license
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS (or ENPC) certifications from the American Heart Association
- TNCC or ATCN certification
- CPI or equivalent preferred
- Recent clinical experience within emergency/acute care setting
- Strong communication skills appropriate to developmental age of patients
- Up-to-date knowledge and skills related to the patient populations served
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate, implement, and evaluate patient care in accordance with established standards and patient rights
- Respond confidently to crisis situations, emergencies, and rapidly changing priorities
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Demonstrate respect, professionalism, and sensitivity toward patients, families, and colleagues
- Perform physical aspects of patient care including positioning, transferring, and utilizing essential equipment or supplies
Work Environment:
- Exposure to infectious diseases and x-rays; complies with bloodborne pathogen protocols
- Requires prolonged standing, heavy physical effort, and the ability to respond to emergency situations promptly
- Clean, smoke-free, and well-ventilated work areas
