A dynamic opportunity awaits experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurses to contribute to critical care services in an esteemed 607-bed tertiary care center renowned for medical excellence. This contract role is located in Glendale, AZ, at a teaching hospital recognized nationally for quality care, advanced research, and specialized transplant programs including lung, liver, and kidney. The hospital is also associated with the world-leading Barrow Neuro Institute.
Responsibilities:
- Provide expert emergency nursing care in a Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital environment.
- Utilize Cerner EMR system for comprehensive patient documentation and care coordination.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including nursing students, to support clinical education.
- Maintain compliance with facility policies, including no facial piercings and natural hair color requirements.
- Successfully complete required competency exams, such as the Prophecy Dysrhythmia Exam, prior to contract acceptance.
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of core Emergency Department nursing experience at a Level 1 Trauma Center.
- Prior travel nursing experience in Emergency Department and Neuro ICU settings.
- Proficiency in Cerner EMR specifically within Emergency Department operations.
- Ability to complete onboarding requirements by the designated deadlines.
- Possession of reliable personal transportation; parking arranged with shuttle service to facility.
- Must have experience in teaching hospital settings; familiar with presence of nursing students.
- Must meet all facility-specific conditions, including contracting restrictions and continuity policies.
