Job Description
Provide critical care in a fast-paced Emergency Room setting with a reputable healthcare facility located near Eudora, KS. This contract role offers a unique opportunity to utilize your advanced nursing skills while working primarily night shifts in a large hospital environment known for its commitment to quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver emergency nursing care to patients with acute medical issues
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to stabilize and treat patients
- Maintain accurate patient records and comply with healthcare protocols
- Occasionally float to other departments as needed, with minimal frequency
- Participate in on-call rotations and holiday shifts as required
Qualifications and Experience:
- Registered Nurse with an active Kansas or Compact nursing license
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIH Stroke Scale certification
- Minimum of 3 years experience in Emergency Room nursing; 5+ years preferred
- Experience working in a large hospital setting is highly desirable
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills
Schedule:
- Night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- 36 hours per week
- Weekend, holiday, and on-call shifts required occasionally
