Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and implement patient care specific to the Emergency Room setting and patient age group.
- Maintain quality and safety standards consistent with unit and organizational goals.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, staff, and physicians with respect and professionalism.
- Uphold patient rights and confidentiality in all aspects of care.
- Respond promptly to emergencies and changing patient conditions with appropriate clinical interventions.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Graduate from an accredited Registered Nursing program.
- Current New Mexico RN license or compact state license.
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS (or ENPC) certifications from AHA required.
- TNCC or ATCN certification required.
- CPI or equivalent preferred.
- Experience and skills suitable for emergency nursing and diverse patient populations.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including patient transfers and prolonged periods of standing and walking.
Schedule & Contract Details:
- Night shift: 7:00 PM 7:00 AM.
- Contract position with immediate start.
Physical Requirements: Must have the stamina for emergency situations, including extensive walking, standing, lifting, and fine motor skills. Visual and auditory acuity are essential for patient care and safety.
