Registered Nurse Emergency Room | Contract | Days | Espanola, NM

An opportunity is available for a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Emergency Room (ER) care to contribute clinical expertise at a prominent medical center in Espanola, New Mexico. This contract position offers a 3/3 schedule with 12-hour day shifts from 7 AM to 7 PM, starting ASAP.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and implement comprehensive patient care tailored to the emergency population.
• Ensure quality, safe, and efficient patient care consistent with unit standards and organizational values.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and clinical staff.
• Maintain clinical competencies relevant to emergency nursing and adhere to professional practice guidelines.
• Respond to emergency situations with sound judgment and clinical proficiency.
• Uphold patients rights and deliver care sensitive to individual patient needs.
• Collaborate with the Patient Care Director or Manager, ensuring smooth operational flow.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program.
• Current New Mexico RN license or valid Compact state license.
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS (or ENPC), TNCC or ATCN.
• CPI or equivalent certification preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge and skills appropriate for emergency patient populations.
• Ability to manage emergency/crisis situations, with stamina for prolonged walking and standing.
• Physical capability for patient positioning, equipment handling, and fine motor coordination.
