As an experienced Emergency Room RN, youll immerse yourself in a dynamic environment where each day promises new learning opportunities and the chance to enrich your resume with specialized skills across a broad patient population. Schedule/Hours:
- Rotating weekends (every 3rd)
- Holiday coverage every other
- No on-call required
- Up to 7 days of approved time off
Key Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of ER nursing experience (first-time travelers are not eligible)
- Certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS, TNCC, NIHSS
- Proficiency with Epic (preferred), Alaris, Pyxis
- Strong triage abilities and experience with RSI/intubation, procedural sedation, trauma, stroke/neuro alert, STEMI, and mass transfusion
- Comfortable caring for emergency patients from neonates to geriatrics; pediatric experience strongly preferred
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver expert care to a diverse ER patient mix, including chest pain, stroke, and trauma cases
- Manage nurse-patient ratios of 1:4 (days) and 1:5 (nights), with tech support (1:10)
- Assist with rapid response and critical interventions, including cardiac events and trauma activations
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary support: 24/7 RT and hospitalist presence, phlebotomy, and midlevel support
