This opportunity is ideal for a Registered Nurse with emergency room experience, ready to provide high-quality care alongside a dedicated interdisciplinary team. The position offers a contract assignment, delivering critical support to patients during acute medical events.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Active and unrestricted RN license
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in an ER setting
- ACLS and BLS certifications required; PALS certification strongly preferred
- Ability to remain calm and efficient in high-pressure scenarios
- Proficiency in triage, rapid assessment, and emergency interventions
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with physicians and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and prioritize patients as they enter the emergency room
- Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies as ordered
- Provide prompt, accurate documentation and communicate changes in patient condition
- Collaborate seamlessly with physicians and other healthcare professionals
- Assist with code situations and provide patient/family education as needed
- Follow infection control procedures and hospital protocols at all times
