Schedule/Hours:

  • Shift-based schedule; specific hours to be discussed during interview.

Preferred Qualifications & Certifications:

  • Active RN license in Georgia
  • Minimum 2 years of recent experience in an Emergency Department
  • Current BLS and ACLS certification required
  • BCR (Basic Cardiac Rhythm) required
  • PALS and TNCC preferred (not required)
  • Emergency Nursing National Certification preferred (not required)
  • Will accept first-time travelers

Position Requirements & Skills:

  • Manage drips including Heparin, Insulin, Cardene, Dopamine, Epinephrine, Fentanyl, Propofol, and Levophed
  • Proficient in IV starts, phlebotomy, and reading cardiac rhythms
  • Experience with EMR (EPIC), Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, and central telemetry
  • Comfortable handling typical ED presentations: chest pain, strokes, diabetes, abdominal pain, traumas, hypertension, mental health crises
  • Patient assignment ratio averages 1:34 RNs depending on zone
  • Flexibility to float within the ER and possibly to a sister facility nearby when needed

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Deliver thorough, evidence-based care to patients in a fast-paced, 22-bed emergency unit averaging 85 patients per day
  • Collaborate closely with charge nurses, CNAs, LPNs, unit secretaries, respiratory therapists, hospitalists, and intensivists
  • Engage in accurate documentation and participate in unit-specific training
  • Maintain vigilant telemetry monitoring and rapid response to patient needs
  • Uphold a professional demeanor, support team initiatives, and contribute to a positive unit culture
