Provide expert emergency care in a fast-paced 22-bed Emergency Department serving an average daily census of 85 patients. Care for a diverse patient population presenting with conditions such as chest pain, strokes, diabetes, abdominal pain, motor vehicle collisions, hypertension, and mental health issues.

Location
Based in Eatonton, GA, this opportunity offers proximity to a community-focused hospital with 140 licensed beds, recognized as a Chest Pain Center and a Remote Stroke Center with ECCC level 3 certification. The hospital environment is supportive, with strong teamwork and many long-term staff members.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care in the Emergency Department, managing patient care for a 1:3-4 RN-to-patient ratio.
• Perform critical tasks including drip management (heparin, insulin, cardiac medications), IV/PICC line care, phlebotomy, telemetry monitoring, and rapid response interventions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including respiratory therapists, hospitalists, intensivists, and unit secretaries.
• Utilize EPIC EMR, Alaris IV pumps, and specialized monitoring equipment to document and manage patient care efficiently.
• Participate in orientation and ongoing education modules to maintain clinical competencies.
• Adapt to a rotating schedule with a commitment to weekend shifts (5-6 per 12-shift cycle) and work coverage during major holidays.

Qualifications & Desired Experience

• Active Georgia RN license required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Emergency Nursing preferred but open to first-time travel nurses.
• Certifications required: BLS, Basic Cardiac Rhythm (BCR), ACLS. PALS and TNCC preferred.
• Experience with complex drip management, telemetry, IV/VAT care, and emergency protocols.
• Comfortable working 12-hour shifts, both day (7A-7P) and night (7P-7A).
