Schedule/Hours
- Full time: 7PM 7AM
- Night shift
- Every other weekend required
Position Highlights This role is uniquely positioned in a high-acuity unit with a focus on strokes, cardiovascular events, diabetes, wounds, behavioral health, sepsis, and some trauma (though not trauma-designated). You will provide both routine and complex care independently, manage assignments, delegate tasks, and continue to develop clinical and leadership skills. The experience gained in this setting will set you apart as a skilled ER nurse, ready for any challenge.
Qualifications & Experience
- RN License in state of employment or compact
- BLS, ACLS, PALS (from AHA) and TNCC certifications required
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in a related specialty preferred
Responsibilities
- Deliver patient care using the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
- Address complex psychological, emotional, and cultural needs
- Administer prescribed medications and monitor for side effects
- Thoroughly document all aspects of care
- Educate patients and families, identifying learning needs and resources
- Complete all organizational orientations, annual competency verifications, and participate in preceptorship as needed
