Deliver critical care in a dynamic Emergency Department setting, providing expert nursing support to patients across the lifespan. This contract role offers a day shift schedule, working 7:00 am to 7:30 pm with every other weekend coverage, totaling a guaranteed 36 hours weekly. The unit features 32 beds with a standard patient ratio of 1:4, expanding for lower acuity cases, and is equipped with Level I fluid warmers and the Epic EMR system.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional emergency nursing care to medical, trauma, injury, and mental health patients.
- Utilize advanced skills in trauma and emergency care for patients of all ages.
- Collaborate effectively with the medical team to deliver patient-centered care.
- Adhere to facility policies, including dress code guidelines (navy scrubs).
- Complete required onboarding education modules before the first day.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Registered Nurse with a minimum of 3 years emergency nursing experience.
- Certifications required: ACLS, PALS, BLS; TNCC certification preferred.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to manage diverse patient needs.
- Experience working with a wide patient demographic in a fast-paced environment.
