A travel opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Emergency Room care at a busy 28-bed Emergency Department in Dayton, TX. This role supports a dedicated team of professionals providing high-quality acute care in a fast-paced environment. Candidates should bring strong clinical skills and a proactive, personable approach that aligns with the units energetic and patient-focused culture.
Qualifications / Desired Experience:
- Acute ER nursing experience is essential
- Trauma experience preferred
- Current certifications: TNCC, PALS, ACLS, BLS
- Proficient in procedures such as IV starts, blood draws, resuscitation, and EKGs
- Comfortable working with Meditech EMR system
Location: Situated in Dayton, TX, the facility is part of a reputable hospital network known for quality healthcare services. The Emergency Department is located on the 1st floor of the North Tower, offering a modern work environment with a supportive team of 15 staff members including RNs, technicians, and unit secretaries.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive emergency nursing care with a patient ratio of 4:1
- Perform critical procedures including IV starts, blood draws, and EKGs
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams during both day and night shifts
- Uphold unit guidelines and policies, adhering to dress code standards (royal blue scrubs)
- Work 4 weekend shifts per month; no on-call duties required
