This travel assignment in a 108-bed hospital setting offers experience with the Cerner FirstNet EMR system and routines of a high-functioning ED. Youll be supported by a dedicated team of five RNs and three ED Techs per shift, around the clock, gaining fresh perspective from new workplace protocols and communication practices. Weekend coverage is part of the role, providing the chance to further expand your professional capabilities and strengthen your crisis management skills.
Schedule:
- 12-hour shifts:
Days: 7:00 am - 7:30 pm
Nights: 7:00 pm - 7:30 am - 24/7 Weekend coverage required
- No on-call duties
Qualifications:
- Active RN license (California)
- Minimum one year of recent Emergency Room nursing experience preferred
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS required
- Familiarity with Cerner FirstNet EMR is an advantage
- Strong clinical judgment and effective communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver primary and emergency patient care in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to implement care plans
- Monitor, assess, and record patients progress using the Cerner FirstNet EMR system
- Educate patient families and enforce safety protocols
- Maintain meticulous documentation for every patient encounter
