Job Description

Provide urgent and critical care in the Emergency Room department in a highly regarded hospital located in Converse, TX. This contract position offers an opportunity to work a 13-week assignment supporting an established team dedicated to exceptional patient care in a fast-paced ER setting.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive emergency nursing care, including procedures such as conscious sedation, intubations, behavioral health watches, sepsis management, stroke interventions (including TPA administration), and chest pain alerts
  • Document patient information accurately using the Meditech system
  • Float between units as per facility policy, demonstrating flexibility in patient care coverage
  • Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team to provide optimal patient outcomes
  • Comply with hospital policies regarding dress code, attendance, and professional conduct

Qualifications & Experience

  • Active Texas RN license (temporary licenses will not be accepted)
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in an Emergency Room setting
  • Required certifications: PALS or ENPC, ACLS, BLS, TNCC, and NIHSS
  • Preferred: Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) and Meditech experience
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills essential

Shift Details

  • 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM and/or 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM shifts
  • Every other weekend required
  • 36 guaranteed hours per week
