Job Description

Key Qualifications:

  • Current and unencumbered RN license
  • At least one year of recent emergency room nursing experience
  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (TNCC preferred)
  • Strong clinical judgment and adaptability to rapidly changing priorities
  • Effective communication skills with patients, families, and team members

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients in the emergency department
  • Triage incoming patients and prioritize care based on need and acuity
  • Administer medications, perform critical interventions, and document all care provided
  • Collaborate with physicians and ancillary staff to coordinate timely treatment
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families during high-stress situations
  • Maintain compliance with hospital protocols and state/federal regulations
