This assignment places you in a modern 28-bed emergency department, supported by a robust team of 15 staff per shift, including experienced RNs, techs, and unit secretaries. Youll gain valuable experience in an acute, fast-paced environment, managing comprehensive procedures like IV starts, blood draws, resuscitation, and EKGs. With a manageable 4:1 patient ratio and exposure to varied trauma cases, you'll build resilience and adaptabilityqualities that stand out on any nursing resume.
Schedule/Hours
- Work four weekend shifts per month
- No on-call required
Desired Experience and Skills
- Active RN license and previous acute ER experience
- Trauma experience strongly preferred
- Proficiency in essential emergency procedures
- Current TNCC, PALS, ACLS, and BLS certifications
- Knowledge of Meditech EMR
- Adaptable, personable, and can thrive in fast-paced settings
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality care to a diverse emergency patient population

- Administer medications, manage IVs, conduct EKGs, and assist with resuscitation
- Provide patient and family education during critical moments
- Ensure diligent, timely, and accurate documentation in Meditech
