A critical care nursing opportunity is available in Carthage, NY, for experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurses. This 13-week contract offers 36-hour work weeks on the 7p-7a shift, with a 100-mile radius travel requirement. The role is ideal for nurses with strong clinical critical care abilities, leadership skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care in emergency settings.

Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Current New York State RN license required
- BLS, ACLS certifications required; PALS must be obtained within six months of hire
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
- MEDITECH electronic medical records experience mandatory
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred
- Critical care or charge nurse experience highly desired
- Ability to identify and intervene in life-threatening situations
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- IV, medication administration, and phlebotomy certifications to be obtained during orientation
- Must complete lethal dysrhythmia exam during probation and achieve defibrillation certification within six months
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to critically ill patients
- Assess and address patient clinical, educational, mental, and spiritual needs
- Safely implement patient mobility techniques, including use of lifts
- Function effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Prioritize and delegate nursing duties; may serve as charge nurse
- Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and safety policies
