Youll work in a dynamic, 65-bed Emergency Department with a modern, pod-based design including specialized pediatric and acute mental health areas. With a high-volume census serving a broad patient mix, youll have a unique opportunity to refine your emergency nursing skills alongside expert clinicians and to expand your clinical insights through exposure to innovative workplace practices and varied approaches to leadership.
Schedule/Hours:
- Night shifts, 36 hours per week
- Every other weekend required
- Rotating shifts may be requested, though frequency is low for night positions
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years recent Emergency Nursing experience
- Current, unrestricted RN license
- Valid AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (NRP and TNCC strongly preferred)
- Expertise in general Emergency Department nursing: assessment, IVs, phlebotomy, EKG, cardiac monitoring, point-of-care testing, splinting, patient education, and sound clinical documentation
- Critical thinking ability and willingness to float as needed
- Experience with EPIC ASAP EMR a plus
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, monitor, and provide care for a diverse patient population in a busy ED setting
- Deliver interventions across all ages, including pediatric and mental health emergency care
- Maintain a safe patient environment while coordinating care with multidisciplinary teams
- Educate patients and families with empathy and clarity
