A Registered Nurse with Emergency Room (ER) experience is needed for a contract position in Brookston, IN. This opportunity offers a 36-hour work week, primarily day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, with every other weekend scheduled off. The role is based in a Level I emergency department equipped with advanced technology including a fluid warmer and operating on the Epic EMR system.

Situated in Brookston, IN, this healthcare facility provides a compassionate environment serving a diverse patient population. The emergency department has 32 beds, maintaining a standard patient-to-nurse ratio of 4:1, adjusted based on patient acuity. The unit cares for medical, trauma, injured, and mental health patients across all ages.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional, timely care to emergency patients across the lifespan
- Collaborate effectively with the multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes
- Utilize advanced emergency nursing skills including trauma care
- Comply with facility protocols and dress code (navy scrubs)
- Document patient information accurately using the Epic EMR system
Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse license
- Minimum 3 years ER nursing experience
- Current ACLS, PALS, and BLS certifications (TNCC preferred)
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to work day shifts, including every other weekend
