This is a unique opportunity to care for a high-acuity patient population, including cases of stroke, cardiovascular conditions, diabetes, wounds, behavioral health, sepsis, and occasional trauma. The role ensures you will work alongside experienced healthcare professionals, developing advanced assessment and leadership skillskey components for career growth and a well-rounded resume.
Schedule/Hours
- Full-time, 7PM 7AM
- Night shifts
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call or floating
What you'll need:
- Active RN license in state of employment or compact state
- BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications (from AHA)
- TNCC required
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
- At least 1 year of experience in Emergency Department or similar setting preferred
- Ability to complete all onboarding and annual competency requirements
Primary responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality patient care independently and collaboratively
- Apply the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation)
- Support patients with complex psychological, emotional, and cultural needs
- Administer medications and monitor treatment outcomes
- Document patient history, conditions, and care accurately
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers; identify needs and resources
- Participate in initial orientation and specialty-specific competency validation
