This travel opportunity places you in an advanced emergency department within a large, accredited teaching facility, known for its Level 1 trauma care, cutting-edge technology, and collaborative team environment. Schedule/Hours:
- 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM7:00 PM or 7:00 PM7:00 AM
- 56 weekend shifts out of every 12 on a 6-week cycle
- No on-call requirements
- Major holiday shift required
Key Qualifications:
- Active RN license with 2+ years of recent emergency department RN experience
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications
- Must pass an EKG competency exam (BCR)
- National certification in emergency nursing preferred, not mandatory
- Proficient with trauma care, cardiac monitoring, IV drips (e.g., Heparin, Insulin, Cardene), and EPIC EMR documentation
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide expert emergency care for patients with chest pain, trauma, strokes, mental health, and more
- Coordinate with interdisciplinary support (CNA, phlebotomy, respiratory therapy, and transport teams)
- Collaborate as part of a fast-paced, team-based environment
- Perform telemetry monitoring, patient assessments, documentation, and medication administration
