Schedule & Hours
- 12-hour shifts; rotation schedule with varied start times
- Every other weekend required
- No call requirements; one major holiday required
Desired Experience & Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted RN license
- At least 2 years of recent Emergency Department nursing experience
- Previous travel nursing assignments preferred; open to strong candidates with extensive ED background
- Required certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS, NIHSS
- TNCC certification preferred
- Must be comfortable with a high volume ED and a predominantly elderly patient population
- Experience in Level 2 trauma environments is a plus
- Ability to adapt swiftly and independently with minimal orientation
Primary Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, comprehensive care to emergency patients, primarily elderly with diagnoses including trauma, STEMI, and stroke
- Manage nurse-patient ratios of approximately 1:4
- Collaborate with a robust team including ER Techs, CNAs, Physician Assistants, and ancillary staff
- Utilize Epic for documentation and Pyxis for medication management
- Float to other units as required
- Adhere to strict professional appearance standards and infection control protocols
