Job Description
Deliver expert nursing care and guidance as part of an emergency room team. In this contract opportunity, you'll provide compassionate, evidence-based care for individuals in acute medical situations, following established standards of care and utilizing the nursing process. You'll also collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and manage the activities of assigned nursing staff to ensure positive outcomes for patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care in the emergency department
- Supervise and guide various levels of assigned nursing personnel during shifts
- Respond promptly to patient emergencies with critical thinking and sound clinical judgment
- Communicate clearly and effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team
- Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation in patient records
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Active RN license
- Minimum of one year recent experience in an emergency room setting
- Proven ability to effectively handle multiple priorities and fast-paced situations
- Strong clinical skills in emergency assessment and intervention
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (current and valid)
- Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and organizational abilities
