Job Description
Deliver high-quality, individualized care to patients and their families in a dynamic emergency department setting. This role is an essential part of a multidisciplinary team, contributing expertise and guidance to ensure patient safety and satisfaction. Practicing within the framework of professional standards, you will leverage evidence-based practices and uphold ethical codes set by national and state nursing organizations.
Schedule/Hours:
- Contract position; specific shifts and duration to be discussed during the interview process.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Current, unencumbered RN license in the state of Georgia
- Minimum of one year nursing experience in an emergency department preferred
- Strong understanding of emergency nursing best practices
- Familiarity with evidence-based care and the principles of interdisciplinary teamwork
- Ability to multitask and remain composed in high-stress situations
- Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct patient care in line with established protocols and the Professional Nurse Practice Act
- Collaborate with physicians and allied health staff to develop and implement patient care plans
- Monitor and assess patients, recording and reporting changes in condition
- Uphold patient safety initiatives and quality care metrics
- Support hospital policies, procedures, and service excellence goals
- Serve as a patient advocate, respecting their needs and preferences
- Educate patients and families regarding care, treatment, and resources
