Bring your expertise in emergency nursing to a dynamic healthcare setting in Alamogordo, NM. This contract position is designed for a skilled RN-ER with a minimum of two years recent experience in an Emergency Department classified as Level 1, 2, or 3 Trauma. The role involves caring for a diverse patient population, including clinic-type patients, stroke victims, STEMIs, Level I traumas, post-surgical and pregnancy complications, pediatrics, behavioral health, and all aspects of emergency care.
Key Responsibilities: Deliver nursing care in alignment with ANA Scope and Standards, utilizing assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation processes. Manage complex physical and psychosocial needs of patients and families with cultural sensitivity and professional awareness. Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols, monitoring patient responses closely. Document clinical observations, patient histories, symptoms, and treatments accurately. Educate patients, families, and caregivers regarding health care needs and resources, facilitating a supportive recovery environment. Demonstrate leadership within the nursing practice and uphold organizational competencies.
Qualifications and Desired Experience: Current RN license in New Mexico or compact state. Minimum two years experience in Emergency Department nursing, including recent trauma care. Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred. Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications (AHA approved). Commitment to ongoing orientation, competency validation, and professional development.
