Job Description

This nursing opportunity involves providing specialized care for patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and angiography procedures. The role requires focused nursing expertise to support patients before, during, and after interventions, ensuring comprehensive care that includes patient assessment, monitoring, and education. Working closely with the cardiac catheterization team, you will assist in procedures and manage critical equipment to deliver high-quality cardiovascular care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver nursing care to patients undergoing catheterization and angiography procedures.
  • Operate and monitor specialized cardiac equipment, including cardiac output monitors, hemodynamic devices, pacemakers/ICDs, and intraaortic balloon pumps.
  • Assist physicians by scrubbing in during procedures.
  • Perform patient transfers, supply management, and essential administrative duties.
  • Accurately document all relevant patient and procedural information.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Current RN licensure with experience in cardiac catheterization or interventional cardiology nursing.
  • Proficiency with cardiac monitoring devices and hemodynamic equipment.
  • Ability to provide patient education and perform thorough pre- and post-procedural assessments.
  • Strong documentation and organizational skills.
  • Capacity to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary catheterization laboratory team.
