Job Description

Deliver quality patient care and make an impact in a specialized surgical environment as an RN with experience in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR). This contract role offers a dynamic, fast-paced setting where advanced clinical expertise and precise attention to detail are valued.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Contract-based assignment
  • Full-time hours with variable shifts dependent on surgical schedules

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Active RN license in good standing
  • Minimum of 2 years recent experience in CVOR nursing
  • BLS and ACLS certifications current (required)
  • Proven skills in scrubbing and circulating for cardiovascular surgical procedures
  • Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and fellow nursing staff
  • Flexible and adaptable to the demands of a busy operating room

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative nursing care to patients undergoing cardiovascular surgery
  • Maintain a sterile field and uphold strict infection control standards at all times
  • Anticipate and respond to the needs of surgeons during complex cardiovascular procedures
  • Monitor patient condition closely, promptly communicating any changes or concerns to the surgical team
  • Ensure accurate documentation of all patient interventions and outcomes
  • Prepare and manage specialized instruments, supplies, and equipment for CVOR procedures
