Step into an impactful role as a Registered Nurse specializing in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) care on a contract assignment. Focus your expertise on surgical patients, collaborating with a dedicated team to deliver high-quality care in a technologically advanced environment. This position supports excellence across a range of services, including cardiac procedures, robotic surgery, and trauma care at a renowned area hospital.
Schedule/Hours:
- 6:00 AM 4:30 PM
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid RN license, eligible to practice
- Minimum of 2 years recent CVOR nursing experience
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Proficiency in cardiovascular, open heart, and interventional procedures
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced surgical setting
- Strong communication and critical thinking skills
- Team-oriented mindset with emphasis on patient safety and advocacy
Key Responsibilities:
- Circulate and/or scrub for a variety of cardiovascular surgical procedures
- Work collaboratively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical techs
- Ensure appropriate preparation and maintenance of the sterile field
- Provide pre-, intra-, and post-operative care
- Coordinate care plans and document patient progress
- Respond swiftly to changes in patient condition
- Adhere to hospital protocols and maintain safety standards
