Job Description

Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse with CVOR expertise to support a dynamic Operating Room team in Sugar Land, TX. This contract position places you in a busy acute care setting within a well-equipped 14-room OR suite, including 2 dedicated CVOR rooms. Collaboration is key as you work alongside a team of skilled RNs and Surgical Technologists to deliver exceptional perioperative care.

Responsibilities include circulating in varied surgical specialties such as General Surgery, ENT, Gynecology, Orthopedics, Robotics, Colorectal, Vascular, and Urology. The fast-paced environment demands flexibility and a strong ability to adapt while maintaining excellent patient-focused care with 1:1 patient ratios. The unit operates primarily during standard daytime hours with additional on-call responsibilities into evenings and weekends.

Qualifications & Desired Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of circulating experience in an acute care hospital OR setting
  • Comprehensive skills in General Surgery, ENT, Uro/Gyn, Orthopedics, and Robotic procedures
  • CVOR experience highly preferred
  • CNOR certification and over 5 years experience are advantageous
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Ability to self-schedule and commit to on-call shifts during weekdays and weekends
  • Compliance with dress code including hospital-provided scrubs; artificial nail enhancements are prohibited
