Job Description

A busy hospital seeks experienced Registered Nurses specializing in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) nursing to support its dynamic surgical team. This contract opportunity features 12-hour day shifts and runs for 13 weeks, offering a fast-paced environment and the chance to make a meaningful difference in cardiac surgical care.

Schedule:

  • 12-hour day shifts
  • 13-week duration

Qualifications:

  • Active RN license in good standing
  • Minimum of 2 years recent CVOR nursing experience preferred
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Proficient with cardiovascular surgical procedures and technology
  • Strong communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary surgical teams

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing cardiovascular surgeries
  • Prepare and maintain sterile fields, surgical instruments, and specialized equipment
  • Monitor patient status intraoperatively and respond promptly to changes
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and other team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Adhere strictly to infection control standards and hospital protocols
  • Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and timely
