Job Description

Advance your nursing career specializing in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) care by delivering exceptional support for complex cardiac, thoracic, and vascular procedures. This contract opportunity places you in a dynamic surgical environment acclaimed for its advanced interventions, such as coronary artery bypass, heart transplantation, TAVR, complex valve repairs, adult ECMO, and sophisticated vascular surgeries. As a CVOR RN, you will work in a high-acuity hospital setting with the capacity for multiple simultaneous casesrequiring confidence, precision, and the ability to thrive under pressure.

Schedule:

  • Three weekday shifts: 11:00 am 11:30 pm (exact days determined based on department needs)
  • Participation in call rotation after regular hours and weekends

Qualifications:

  • Active, unrestricted RN licensure
  • Minimum of 3 years recent, full-time experience as a CVOR circulator in a high-volume hospital
  • Demonstrated proficiency with cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgeries, including open, laparoscopic, robot-assisted, and endovascular procedures
  • Ability to independently manage complex cases in a fast-paced surgical environment
  • Verifiable references from at least two recent travel assignments establishing no need for additional onboarding or training
  • Strong adaptability and readiness to manage rapidly changing clinical situations

Key Responsibilities:

  • Circulate and coordinate care for patients undergoing diverse cardiac, thoracic, and vascular procedures
  • Collaborate seamlessly with surgeons, anesthesia, and support staff throughout all perioperative phases
  • Assure compliance with safety, sterile technique, and hospital protocols for all interventions
  • Respond promptly and efficiently to emergency situations within the CVOR suite
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure optimal patient outcomes
